A guide to LOI Spa: treatments, durations and how to book

LOI Spa offers three massages from 30 to 90 minutes. Here is how to choose between them, how the 20% in-house guest offer works and how to book through WhatsApp.

All articles

LOI Spa is the in-house spa at Loi Mansion, a private space where Balinese tradition meets contemporary calm. Each treatment is approached as a ritual, designed to restore balance and quiet the mind. The menu is short and clear: three massages, each offered in more than one length. This guide explains what each treatment involves, how to choose between them, how to book, and a few simple habits that make the hour more comfortable.

The three treatments

Balinese Massage: 30, 60 or 90 minutes

A traditional technique using gentle stretches, acupressure and warm aromatherapy oils. If you have never had a Balinese massage, this is the place to start. Thirty minutes is a short reset; the 60- and 90-minute sessions leave more time to settle in and let go.

Deep Tissue Massage: 60 or 90 minutes

Works on deeper muscle layers to release chronic tension and restore ease of movement. It is the one to choose when your shoulders, back or legs feel tight, for example after a long flight, long days at a laptop or several days of surfing and walking. If you would rather relax than work on tight spots, the Balinese Massage, with its gentle stretches, is the better match.

Head Massage: 30 or 60 minutes

A focused scalp and neck treatment to ease tension and bring deep relaxation. The 30-minute version fits easily into a busy day, and the 60-minute version turns it into a proper pause.

How to choose

  • First visit, or you simply want to unwind: Balinese Massage, 60 minutes.
  • Tight muscles from travel, sport or the gym: Deep Tissue Massage, 60 or 90 minutes.
  • Short on time, or tension sits in your neck after screen work: Head Massage, 30 minutes.
  • A slow day with nothing planned: Balinese Massage, 90 minutes.

When you book, mention the pressure you prefer and anything the therapist should know, such as an injury, a recent operation or a pregnancy. If you are unsure, describe how you feel and ask which treatment fits best.

Fitting a treatment into your stay

Think about where the treatment falls in your trip. Check-in is from 14:00, and on arrival day a Balinese Massage or a Deep Tissue Massage is a good way to shake off a long flight. In the middle of an active stay, after surfing, long walks or sessions in the gym, the Deep Tissue Massage earns its place. On your last day, check-out is by 12:00, so plan a final treatment around it. On a longer stay, a weekly treatment is an easy habit to keep.

The in-house guest offer and booking

Guests staying at Loi Mansion receive 20% off every treatment at LOI Spa, and the offer is inclusive of tax. Since it covers every treatment, it applies whichever massage you choose. Advance reservation is recommended, especially if you have a particular day or time in mind. Treatments are booked through WhatsApp from the spa page, which also lists the price of each treatment and length.

Simple etiquette and preparation

  • Arrive a few minutes early, so you start relaxed rather than rushed.
  • Eat lightly beforehand; a heavy meal just before a massage is rarely comfortable.
  • Shower first if you are coming straight from the beach, the pool or the gym.
  • Leave valuables in your suite and set your phone to silent.
  • If you prefer to rest in silence, say so at the start; it is a perfectly normal request.
  • Speak up during the treatment if the pressure is too strong or too light; a good therapist would rather adjust than guess.
  • Afterwards, drink water and give yourself a quiet hour before heading out again.

A treatment fits easily into a slow day at the house: an hour on the pool loungers afterwards, then a Matcha Latte or a coffee at LOI Cafe. You can see the rest of what Loi Mansion offers, from the billiard lounge to the private gym, on our facilities page.
